While traveling, many tourists come across cities that are unusual in nature. And the most beautiful, mysterious of them are located in remote places among the mountains. Agree, to see the buildings hanging over the abyss, from the windows of which a breathtaking view opens, is akin to a parachute jump. It turns out that such unusual places can be found everywhere. It is like a kind of competition between nature and the irrepressible nature of a person who loves to prove his superiority in everything.

Veliko Tarnovo

This is a beautiful city located in Bulgaria. In addition to its unique location, Veliko Tarnovo boasts a rich history. In ancient times, this particular place had the status of the capital. Today it is one of the provincial settlements, which is very popular among tourists.

It turns out that you can find a church or cathedral in Veliko Tarnovo on almost every corner. Just imagine, on one of the local heights, 17 religious buildings were discovered at once. There is no such density of churches even in Israel!

If you're lucky enough to be in this magical town, there are four things you should definitely do. First, visit one of the nightclubs. The main feature of this kind of entertainment establishments is that they work around the clock. Therefore, among tourists who love "parties", alcohol and dancing, the nightclubs of Veliko Tarnovo are especially popular.

After a little rest, go to the grandiose laser show, the screen for which the Tsarevets fortress has been very well chosen. The laser action has a thematic character with a historical bias. Before you will open a grandiose epic dedicated to the capture of the fortress by the Ottoman army.

It is recommended that you visit the winery before leaving, where you will be given the opportunity to choose a wine. Locals believe that everyone has their own kind of wine, so they will gladly provide you with the opportunity to taste this great drink.

And the fourth thing to do in Veliko Tarnovo is to buy a house where you can relax among all this splendor. For such a pleasure you will have to pay from 30 thousand euros.

Riomaggiore, Italy

Riomaggiore seems to have been hewn out of a huge rock that goes straight into the sea, after which it was painted with a huge brush in all the colors of the rainbow. The cozy location on the cliffs generously bathed in bronze rays of the sun and local attractions have made this settlement a popular destination for excursions.

It is here that the Road of Love, known far beyond the borders of Italy, is located, which connects Riomaggiore with the neighboring settlement. It is a small walking path along which couples in love love to travel, enjoying a magnificent view of the sea, a crimson sunset and the purest sea air. And all these delights can be "tasted" for only 5 euros.

And what a coastline here! Despite the abundance of rocks and the inaccessibility of beaches, spending the whole day in a cozy cove, hidden from prying eyes alone with the sea and the sun is the highest degree of pleasure!

After swimming a lot, spending a few hours underwater, diving, as well as enjoying the breathtaking architecture of the Middle Ages, go to one of the cozy restaurants where the chef has already been waiting for you. Here you will be "fed to the brim" with first-class seafood dishes, "teasing" your appetite with a glass of delicious wine. And all this for a fairly modest price.

Manarola, Italy

An equally impressive picture is a town in the north of Italy. Manarola sits on the edge of a sheer cliff overlooking the waves of the Ligurian Sea. It is considered one of the oldest in Italy and is famous for its ancient tradition of solving all important issues in the central square.

In addition to the picturesque architecture, Manarola also boasts wonderful wine, the grapes for which are grown right on the side of the mountain. However, it is difficult to find a place in Italy that cannot boast of its signature delicacies and first-class wine. Although, according to the indigenous people and the surviving sources of information, it was the wine produced in this area that was considered the best in the days of the Roman Empire.

If you look from the height of the cliff, you will see a unique view of the sea and a small dock for boats. Every day, dozens of these boats go in search of another portion of fresh seafood. By the way, there is no beach in the harbor of Manarola, although this does not bother diving enthusiasts who spend whole days exploring crevices and underwater caves.

Ronda, Spain

Spain also has its rock settlements. A striking architectural monument, which is located right on the rocks, is the Andalusian city of Ronda. Just imagine, the average height at which the buildings are located is 760 meters! Ronda is divided into two parts by a huge gorge, over which three bridges are thrown. Local residents claim that it was in their settlement that the tradition arose to arrange a colorful show with bulls - a bullfight. And to back up their case, they point to the country's oldest arena. Therefore, do not succumb to the deceptive charm of the local tranquility.

Walking along one of the bridges, you will not be able to resist the delight of the dizzying height, sharp stone ledges of the gorge and the Guadalevin River flowing somewhere below. Local guides will gladly arrange an exciting trip to the gorge for everyone. But it is worth remembering that the ascent and descent will require a considerable amount of strength, endurance and at least basic training from you. And don't forget to stock up on water and food. Believe me, the path, although difficult, will still give a lot of vivid impressions.

But going to Ronda for the whole vacation is clearly not worth it. Since this settlement is small and there is not so much entertainment in it. But you should definitely include a visit to this colorful point on your tour of Spain. And yet, once in an Andalusian settlement, be sure to visit the local witches museum. The excursion promises to be very exciting and rewarding.

Santorini, Greece

Although Santorini is a whole Greek island, we cannot but tell about the picturesque land area. The island is known all over the world for its unique, picturesque views, and every street of the building is generously flooded with Mediterranean sunshine. Perhaps the most spectacular part of this small stretch of land is Oia.

Firstly, Oia is located at the highest point of the island, so anyone lucky enough to buy a house here can enjoy stunning views of the Aegean Sea for hours on end. If you believe those tourists who have visited this excellent land, it is here that the sunset turns into a real extravaganza of colors.

Unfortunately, not every tourist can afford to spend a week surrounded by the snow-white houses of Oia. After all, the local prices for food and accommodation can break many records set by the most elite resorts in the world.

And one more interesting point: car traffic is prohibited on the streets of the city, so nothing can interfere with your walk.
